Schedule a Bulky Item Pickup

Before scheduling a pickup, we encourage you to think about donating! If your furniture or appliances are still in good shape, consider giving them to a local thrift store, a charity, or listing them on a community exchange app. It’s a great way to help a neighbor and keep waste out of our landfills.

If donation isn't an option, Los Angeles Sanitation and Environment (LASAN) is happy to come to your home to pick up large items that don't fit in your bins. It's an unlimited curbside service at no additional charge to you!

We collect bulky items on your regular trash day. To make sure our trucks are ready for your items, you must let us know at least one business day before your normal collection.

There are three easy ways to schedule:

• Mobile App: Use the MyLA311 app on your smartphone.
• Call Us: Our 24-hour Customer Care Center is ready to help at 1-800-773-2489.

Pro-Tip: Please have an "itemized list" ready. This just means a quick list of what you’re putting out (like "one mattress, two chairs, and a desk") so we send the right sized truck!

We’ll gladly take:

• Furniture (couches, tables, chairs)
• Mattresses and box springs
• Toilets and sinks
• Carpet (please roll and tie it)
• Large wood pieces or doors
• Electronic waste (TVs, computers, monitors)

For safety and environmental reasons, we cannot pick up these items at the curb:

• Automotive parts or used oil
• Construction materials (concrete, bricks, dirt)
• Commercial appliances
• Paints, solvents, or chemicals
• Medicines or needles
• Fluorescent lights
• Cardboard (unless you have a scheduled "Move In/Move Out" service)

Need to get rid of chemicals or paint? Please visit our S.A.F.E. Centers (Solvents, Automotive, Flammables, Electronics) for safe disposal.

If you don't want to wait for your pickup day, you can bring your bulky items to us! Once a month, we open five locations across the city from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
