How to Request a Collection

To report a dead animal for removal, you may use either of the following methods:

Online: Click the Service Request button at the top of the page. Ensure all fields are completed before clicking Submit. If the animal is on private property, we will require a waiver allowing us to enter the property. You can download the waiver at the bottom of this page.

By Phone: Call our 24-hour Customer Care Center at 1-800-773-2489.

When will the animal be picked up?

Once you have submitted your request, a dedicated LASAN crew will arrive to remove the animal within 24 hours. We prioritize these requests to maintain public health and neighborhood cleanliness.

Microchip Scanning & Pet Owner Notification

We understand how important it is for pet owners to find closure. When we collect a deceased animal, our team performs a scan for a microchip:

  • Identification: If a microchip is found, we immediately contact the microchip company.
  • Notification: The microchip company will then reach out to the registered owner to inform them.

Pro Tip: Please ensure your contact information is up to date with your pet’s microchip registry. If your pet isn't chipped, talk to your local veterinarian (vet) or pet store about this simple step.

Service Coverage & Restrictions

While most animal removals are free of charge, there are specific exceptions:

  • Included: Most domestic and wild animals.
  • Excluded: We do not collect horses or cows. For the removal of large livestock, please consult your local yellow pages or search for private livestock removal services.
