Did we miss your bin?
We’re sorry we missed you! Our Los Angeles Sanitation and Environment (LASAN) crews work hard to keep our neighborhoods clean, but occasionally a bin is skipped or a service request isn't finished. If your neighborhood has already been serviced and your bin is still full, please let us know so we can make it right.
Two Easy Ways to Get Help
You don’t need to wait—reporting a missed pickup is quick and simple.
- Report it Online: The fastest way to reach us is by using the City of Los Angeles' MyLA311 app. It’s mobile-friendly and goes straight to our dispatch team.
- Give Us a Call: If you’d rather talk to a neighbor, our 24-hour Customer Care Center is ready to help at 1-800-773-2489.
Information We’ll Need
To help our drivers find you quickly, please have the following details ready:
- Your Address: The exact location where the bin is sitting.
- The Bin Color: Tell us if it’s your Black (trash), Blue (recycling), Green (organics), or Brown (manure) container.
- Service Type: Let us know if it was your regular weekly pickup or a special request (like a bulky item pickup) that was missed.
Quick Tips for a Successful Pickup
- Wait until 6:00 PM: Sometimes our trucks are running a little behind. Please wait until the evening of your collection day before reporting a missed bin.
- Placement Matters: Ensure your bins are at the curb by 6:00 AM on your collection day, with 3 feet of space between them and away from parked cars.
