Donation Drives

What to know

  • We host several donation drives throughout the year to assist our neighbors in the City of Los Angeles.
  • You can drop off items Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at designated locations. All public drop-off locations are closed on City-observed holidays.
  • We rotate our collection themes every two months, taking everything from food and toiletries to clothing and school supplies.
  • Your donations are delivered to local organizations that distribute them directly to Angelenos in need.
  • Through LASAN Gives, we sometimes add additional donation drives for specific causes.

How we support our neighbors

By collecting and distributing essential items, we help ensure our unsheltered neighbors have the clothing, food, and hygiene products they need to thrive. We manage these donation drives year-round across the City of Los Angeles, partnering with local charities and organizations to get your generous contributions directly into the hands of those who need them most.

The Impact of Giving

Every small item can make a big difference in our community. For example, during our non-perishable food drives, we collect unopened canned goods to help feed Angelenos facing hunger. Through our "LASAN Gives Back" program, our staff also volunteers at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. In just four short hours, our team was able to pack over 4,000 food kits!

We even collect sealed, unused takeout utensils and condiment packets. Donated items are given to the Midnight Mission and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, providing flavors and convenience to those in need while keeping perfectly good items out of the landfill.
