How to Get Certified as a Green Business
The program provides free environmental consulting to businesses to help them implement environmental standards currently established by the California Green Business Network (CABGN). These standards help businesses to reduce their environmental impact by reducing water and energy consumption, purchasing environmentally friendly cleaning products, properly handling hazardous materials, and reducing the waste they produce. The network has member cities and counties throughout California who collaborate to establish environmental standards and help businesses operate in a sustainable manner. The LA Green Business Program is free. We do not charge for our services, advice, or resources. We’re happy to help you through the certification process with advice tailored specifically to your business.
The CAGBN Performance and Standards Committee maintains the checklist standards for a variety of business sectors using the following categories:

- Community

How to Get Certified
- Register your business here
- Attend a 30-minute group introduction meeting to learn about the process and ask any questions you may have
- Schedule your one-on-one checklist review session
- Complete all of the required items on your checklist. LASAN verifies that the checklist measures have been met.
- You’re certified! Display your certificate proudly and utilize the CA Green Business Directory to market your success to customers
