Rebates

The City of Los Angeles, LA Sanitation and the Environment (LASAN), is offering two sewer lateral rebates on a first-come, first-serve basis, until annual allocated funds are exhausted, to rate paying property owners who own residential, multifamily, commercial, and industrial property, and who pay sewer service charge to the City of Los Angeles.
Sewer Lateral

Sewer Laterals

A sewer lateral or a sewer house connection is a pipe that carries wastewater from buildings on private property (for example from homes or business) to the mainline sewer. The sewer lateral consists of an upper and a lower lateral. The upper lateral extends from the building structure to the property line. The lower lateral extends from the property line to the mainline sewer, usually in the street, under an alley, or in an easement on private property. Property owners are often unaware that they are responsible for the maintenance and repair of their sewer lateral.
